our ethos
everything has a source.
movement, breath, strength — all begin somewhere deeper than effort.
at headwaters, i believe wellness is not a performance, but a relationship. one built through listening, regulation, and respect for the body’s natural rhythms. we move to restore balance, to integrate lived experience, and to support longevity in both body and nervous system.
this is practice for life in the mountains — where adaptability matters, recovery is essential, and harmony keeps us moving forward. ↟↡
what is headwaters?
headwaters is a movement-based wellness offering for people who live, work, and play in the mountains. it supports mountain athletes, weekend warriors, and everyday locals in building strength, restoring balance, and returning home to their bodies.
life in the high country places real demands on the nervous system and the body - changing seasons, variable terrain, physical labor, and recreational load. headwaters is designed to help you meet those demands with greater awareness, resilience, and harmony between effort and recovery.
i offer three core sessions: breath, move, and strength, each addressing a different layer of the lived experience.
breath is about coming back in. through guided breathwork and yin yoga postures, these 1:1 sessions help regulate the nervous system, settle the body, and reconnect to your felt experience - creating space to pause, integrate, and reset.
move focuses on restoring flow and balance. these sessions emphasize circulation, joint mobility, and releasing held tension so movement feels more natural, coordinated, and sustainable.
strength is the most active offering. here we build functional, adaptable strength that supports longevity and durability - not for aesthetics, but for real life in the mountains. training is grounded in balance, alignment, and intelligent load so the body can respond to challenge without breaking down.
headwaters is not about pushing harder. it’s about learning when to apply effort, when to recover, and how to move through your environment - and your life - with greater steadiness, awareness, and ease.
